The Future is Now!

Young insurance professionals are the future of our industry. The Agents Council for Technology (ACT) wants to help these up and coming leaders succeed.

ACT has had the pleasure of providing several young agents with sponsorships to attend their very first ACT Meeting. These sponsorships have been made possible through the generosity of our supporting carrier and vendor members. Young agents' attendance at our meetings energizes and enhances our conferences. 

For those of you not familiar with our sponsorship initiative, ACT has developed a process to identify, nominate, and reimburse travel expenses for young insurance professionals who have not yet experienced an ACT Meeting but have a passion for emerging technology and its role in workflow improvement.

What We Need from You

This initiative provides reimbursement for travel to our next in-person ACT Meeting. 

We need you to determine nominees from your program, either by asking for nominations or selecting young agents yourself from your state's list of members.

Process

• Reach out through your distribution channels to identify a maximum two (2) potential applicants.  Note: Based on the number of our ACT members willing to sponsor, there may not be enough sponsorships to cover all applicants – however, those identified would be reserved for a future ACT Meeting.   

• ACT staff will review all nominations and advise you & those selected.

• Ideally, we will match up sponsoring carriers with individuals whose agency writes business with that sponsoring carrier.  This is a win-win for both!

• Flights and hotel are paid with a $1,000 sponsorship for attendance to our ACT Meeting.

• Those within driving distance will receive reimbursement for hotel and commuting costs for $500.

• Attendees are responsible for their taxi/Uber, meals and parking.

• Selected sponsored attendees & sponsors will be highlighted at the ACT Meeting. 

Sponsorship Recipient Expectations

  Sponsored individuals:

• Are young agency representatives (under 40).

• Should be interested in improving agency workflow through the use of technology.

• Will travel to, and attend, the full ACT Meeting, participating when they feel comfortable to do so.

• Will share attendee insights post-meeting with ACT staff to assure continuous ACT Meeting improvement.

• Should continue participation in ACT post-meeting, by joining at least one ACT Work Group.
